We are looking for college intern who will be passionate to work for Envoy Air, the largest regional airline part of the American Airlines Group (AAG). This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the unique opportunity to work with a team of professionals to share your creative ideas to continue to build the Envoy brand, support recruiting efforts and translate complex concepts into easy to understand materials for our different audiences.  Envoy operates both Embraer E-175 and E-170 aircraft fleet types. The regional airline has expanded its network outside of the U.S. to international destinations in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Our paid 11-week summer internship will not only enhance your studies, but also provide an educational experience you can’t find in the classroom. As an intern, you will learn real world skills while building a professional network of future peers. You will learn the ins and outs of how your team impacts the business day to day and gain an understanding of the commercial aviation business.

Pay rate: $22 / hr

With this internship, the intern will assist the Director of Ground Support Equipment with analysis of data pertaining to equipment, spending and preventative maintenance programs. The intern will directly interface with Envoy Ground Support, Customer Service Planning and Finance departments. 

Typical job duties include:

• Assist in standardizing equipment and activity data held in GSE maintenance database Fleet Focus in preparation for transition to new EBIS software   
• Review and enhance current data analysis methods by building automated analytical processes. This could include analysis related to parts and labor cost data, preventative maintenance, GSE staffing, equipment rentals or equipment damage  
• Participate in departmental meetings and activities 
• Internship will include a few station visits with members of the GSE team and/or related department interns 

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects in order to meet deadlines and objectives. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated.

Position Requirements: 

• Minimum age of 18 
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Aviation Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or similar applied science  
• Must be classified as a Junior or Senior 
• 3.0 minimum Grade Point Average 
• Advanced Proficiency in MS Office that includes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with the team 
• Experience sorting, organizing, analyzing and presenting large data sets 
• Experience with problem solving and using analytical skills 
• Ability to present data to all levels of management 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing 
• Must be willing and able to travel 
• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language 
• Possess the legal right to work in the United States
