Who are we looking for?
Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent airline industry experience as director or operations manager
- Critical thinker with outstanding data analysis and performance/operation metrics, organization, and planning skills to target improvement of baggage operations activities
- Excellent interpersonal/ people skills, communication with all levels of personnel. High level of prioritizing tasks with the ability to concurrently manage multiple areas of responsibility
- In depth knowledge of AAG /Airline Industry budgeting, diverse business functions, industry latest trends and best practices, legal rules, guidelines, principles, policies, and procedures desired
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and various business software skills
- Ability to plan, implement and manage the overall long-term business success strategy by setting strategic operational goals and KPIs with upper management
- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
- Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation relative to baggage operations
- Ability to Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress; including personnel from different departments and provide constructive feedback
- Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
- Develop policies and procedures and encourage adherence. Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
- Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
- Manage relationships/ agreements with external partners/vendors
- Develop and implement guidelines for employee evaluations, recruitment, promotion and attrition
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to twist, turn, and reach at desk while working with PC and telephone
- Must be visible in baggage operations areas
- Must speak audibly and clearly communicate with employees, peers, and managers. Must be able to select, train, motivate, evaluate, counsel, and terminate subordinates
- Must work well under stress of meeting deadlines
- Must work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
- When applicable, may be required to work nights and weekends
