Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations by leading and organizing the activities of Stores team members and training the team on all phases of parts handling and distribution
  • Provides the Maintenance department with sufficient and appropriate supplies, tools and materials to conduct maintenance in a timely and orderly fashion
  • Designs work tasks and assigns qualified personnel to best achieve the desired end product which includes coordinating resources to accomplish the existing or anticipated work load
  • Responsible for maintaining, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Will ensure parts and supplies are stored in secure, environmentally controlled conditions which are adequate for the protection against contamination, control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with the data storage system.
  • Must maintain the physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • In this role, the Stores Supervisor is responsible for complying with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements which is accomplished by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management of necessary actions.
  • Responsible for achieving financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and will provide guidance to the team on performance issues as well as coach and counsel personnel; maintain time and attendance records, personnel files and performance records

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid unexpired and unsuspended driver’s license
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off
  • Flexible to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
  • Current or previous work experience in warehouse management, inventory control management and supply chain knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • College coursework or college degree desirable preferred
  • Previous working experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity preferred
  • Knowledge of HP Desk system preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience in a warehouse, inventory control and/or supply chain environment preferred
  • Previous experience working in an airline maintenance inventory shop preferred
  • Possess strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively and efficiently manage competing priorities
  • Able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects in order to meet competing deadlines from members of the team
  • Ability to show initiative and critical thinking skills are necessary
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated
