Responsibilities

  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and/or job orders and assigns duties
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Determines procedures, work schedules, and expedites workflow 
  • Assigns duties and examines work for completeness and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of the team; recommends measures to improve production methods, performance, quality of the product, and changes in working conditions
  • Ensures adherence of company safety standards
  • Confers with management to coordinate activities of individual departments
  • Confer with worker’s representatives to resolve grievances
  • Maintains time and attendance records as well as personnel files and performance records
  • May perform or assist GSE Mechanic team in performing duties

Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess excellent leadership, motivational, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Automotive maintenance experience; at least thirty-six (36 months)
  • General working knowledge of PC software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A valid state driver’s license is required in order to operate Company equipment and/or drive Company vehicles
  • Demonstrated ability to communication effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to work in a team environment 
  • Must be able to prioritize work and projects in order to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • One year of supervisory/managerial experience desired
  • Budgeting experience
  • Experience in a union environment or overseeing union employees
  • Sabre system knowledge preferred
  • Candidates must fulfill a fingerprint based criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Candidates must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, in addition to clearing other airport related requirements, if applicable.
  • This position may be subject to the Department of Transportation (DOT). Federal law requires Envoy to determine a candidate’s history with the DOT drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position.
