How will you make an impact?

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe and effective ground movement of Envoy’s aircraft, including conducting safe start-up procedures.
  • Ensure that the tug operator is in contact with the aircraft cockpit before any equipment is connected.
  • Ensure that the appropriate equipment is being used for the type and weight of aircraft.
  • Ensure operational inspection of tow tractor and tow bar before every use.
  • Ensure that the tow bar is properly connected to the tow tractor and aircraft.
  • Immediately stop tow operations when signaled by any member of towing/push back crew.
  • Ensure that the minimum towing distance of 50 meters between operations is maintained and the towing speed of 8km an hour is not exceeded.

Who are we looking for?

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or International equivalent
  • Possession of a valid unexpired Texas or Oklahoma driver’s license is necessary to obtain flight line driving privileges
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Ground/Airport Handling type of operations
  • Familiar with Marshalling Signals
  • Valid National light vehicle and tow tractors driver’s license
  • Familiar in the use of two way radio communication.
  • In possession of a Basic Airside Induction Certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal/Written).
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to find solutions in an austere environment.
  • Previous experience as a Tow Crew Member preferred.
  • Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.  Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Most heavy lifting is accomplished through the use of mechanical devices.
  • May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or on flight line.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
